If price is a consideration, the Dream On Me Mission toddler bed will most probably fall within your budget. It is selling for less than $70 at the time of writing and is being offered with free shipping too at Amazon. Available in four colors, you get to choose a bed in cherry, white, espresso or natural.

The design is very simple with vertical slats adorning the headboard, footboard and guard rails. It is made of solid wood and has all the tools included for assembly. Some reviewers have little problem putting it together while a few have complained that assembly was tough. Basically, there are a few more parts that require assembly compared to similar beds out there but then, you probably can't find anything cheaper than the Dream On Me Mission toddler bed.

To strengthen the bed, you can add an additional piece of plywood for the mattress support. You can do without it, but as with most cheap toddler beds, you will need to adhere to the recommended weight limit to ensure the slats do not snap under pressure.

All in all, if you are looking for a bed that will just be used for a year or so, then this is a good buy. It is not a top notch quality bed, but the price is much more affordable than many other toddler beds out there.

The Dream On Me Sleigh toddler bed here is a simple bed with a pull-out drawer at the bottom. If you want additional storage space, then this makes a great bed for your toddler. Furthermore, you can choose from various finishes including white, natural, espresso, pink, black and blue. Shown here is the one in cherry. In fact, you can also have the same bed without the drawers at a much more affordable price.

Looking at this bed, perhaps the only complaint that I will have would be the short side rails. I always like longer rails because my son tends to move around a lot when he sleeps. A longer side rails would at least minimize the risk of him falling off the bed.

Having said that, whether the short side rails would make any difference at all really depends on your kid's sleeping habits. If it is not a problem to you, then I think this makes a great bed if you are looking for simplicity and comfort.
